Even though Islam is not the religion followed by most number of people in the world, Muslim’s hold the record for the largest prayer congregation in the world.
The imam noted this in the Eid Khutbah as well. “Everyday for 5 times, everyone in the neighborhood prays in a congregation, on Friday a larger congregation prays Friday Prayer together. Eid prayer is performed by a much larger congregation”
The Imaam said, in addition to these prayers, Hajj is one act of worship where millions of people from all corners of the world gather in Mecca or worship. Every year, millions gather in Mecca to perform Hajj.
Even though people go to Hajj in different groups, people stay in Arafat together. Every Year millions 0f people pray together in Arafat. Mount Arafat and the whole area around it are filled with people. This cannot be witnessed from any other religion.
