The first flight with 248 pilgrims landed at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport at 9:25 am this morning. The second flight is due to arrive on 19th September at 12:25 pm.
According to Islamic Ministry two Maldivian pilgrims were not able to take part in the Minaa journey because they were sick and admitted at the hospital.
One of them, passed away on 14th September. She is Jameelaa Mohammed, 51 from R.Hulhudhuhfaaru. She went to Hajj with the Acro group. The second person who could not take part in the Minaa journey is Mohammed Thaufeeg who went with Maldives Hajj Corporation. He is still admitted at King Faisal Hospital.
In addition, Abdullah Naseer, who went to Hajj with Sisilfaru group was admitted on the day when pilgrims were at Minaa. He passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Islamic Ministry says that all Maldivians will return from Hajj by 24th of September.
