The managing director of State Trading Organization (STO) Ahmed Shaheer have said that, they will expand their consumer electronic businesses this year.
Speaking to Miadhu, Shaheer said that the 10-story Umar Shopping Arcade of STO will be opened within the next two months. He said that three floors of the building will be developed to modern standards and STO electronics businesses will be completely shifted to those three floors.
“It will be a huge development to this business, we are developing the place up to international standards. Customers can get services easily. Also as the business develops the price of the goods will drop too. Even now customers believe that we provide the best price and the best after sales services.” said Shaheer.
Shaheer said that 5 floors from the building will be given to Allied Insurance company. “Allied will also develop financially because of this” said Shaheer. He further said that two floors of the building will be leased to Maldives Pension Administration’s office and that will also be a good source of income for STO.
