Former Home Minister Umar Naseer have said that he resigned from the position of Home Minister due to differences of opinion with President Yameen.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Umar Naseer said that he resigned due to differences in opinion. However, he did not explain what it was about.
He said that he does not believe that those things should be disclosed. “Communication between the President and a cabinet minister should not necessarily be publicized, I will only say that I resigned over differences in opinion with the President” said Umar.
He also said that he is ready to face President Yameen in the Presidential Elections in 2018.
