The best all round student of Darumavantha School in the year 2015, Ahmad Rifhaan Rasheed have said that he achieved that position because of the work his mother did and the help of his brother. Rifhaan’s father passed away while he was very little.
Speaking at the prize day of Darumavantha School, Rifhaan said that when he was in Kindergarten his father always took him to school. He said that but one day he got a schock.
“That day after dropping me off to school, my father patted me on the head and asked me to study well and promised to come back to fetch me from school. But that day it was not my father who came to receive me. It was someone else and I learned that my father has passed away when I went home” said Rifhaan.
Rifhaan said that since that day, his father’s role was filled by his mother. He said that his mother did everything for him. He also noted the help of his brother. He said that his tuition teacher, his sport master and his driver is also his brother.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Rifhaan’s mother said that since she is a teacher in a Government School most of the time she had to work for long hours and did not get to spend enough time with her kids. She said that, that’s why her kids learned to do many things on their own at an early age.
“I believe that Rifhaan’s success is his own work. The success of my kids are a result of their own hard work”. Said his mother Aishath Ibrahim.
She has served as a teacher for 22 years. She said that the time when Rifhaan did his o’levels she her self was studying for her Masters Degree and that it was a very busy time. “I was working as a teacher and studying as well. I taught my children how to study on their own. What we have seen is the result of that” said Aishath.
Rifhaan’s brother Mohamed Rimaah is studying to be a pilot in a pilot training center in Addu. Rifhaan’s mother did not remarry after their father passed away. She dedicated her time to work hard and earn for her children.
