The Indian High Commissioner to Maldives, H.E Akhilesh Mishra have said that India is ready to go forward in doing business with Maldives as the government of Maldives prefers.
Mr.Mishra said this in the ceremony held at Hotel Jen. tonight to call for participants to the 3rd Maldives Invest Forum which is going to be held in New Delhi.
Mr. Mishra said that Maldives and India has historic relations for centuries and the business relation between the two countries should not only be simple just as normal businesses. “We should go deeper than the ordinary businesses, we should look at what’s most important for Maldives. The businesses that are conducted should be beneficial for Maldives. Maldivians will know the most important sectors for Maldives. I am ready to find companies to invest in these sectors preferred by the Maldives” said Mishra.
Mr. Mishra asked the government to let him know what the government prefers and that he is ready to promote business links between the two countries.
Mr. Mishra said that these days’ business is done in a very transparent manner. “When I travelled to the atolls, I saw that everyone had smartphones and were always connected to the internet. So everyone will know what is going on” said Mishra.
He also said that he will do everything he can to make the Maldives Invest Forum a successand also the business relations between the two countries will grow stronger because of the forum.
