The Maldives Investment Forum which is going to be held in New Delhi in November, calls for participants.
Speaking at the ceremony to launch the Participation for the forum officially held tonight at Hotel Jen, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said that the first forum was held in Singapore 2 years ago and the second one was held in Beijing last year. He said that number of people who visited the forum in the second year was more than the first and they plan to make the third forum a success as well.
He said that, they will get assistance from Indian Federation of Commerce and Industries and the Indian government as well to make the forum a success. “Our message is very clear. Maldives is open to all for business” said the Minister.
Minister Saeed also thanked, Singapore, China and Saudi Arabia in their efforts to bring more investments and business to Maldives. “In addition to China I thank the work done by Saudi Arabiya, Gulf countries to provide economic assistance to Maldives. Also India is an important partner for us in various ways” said Saeed.
He said that a lot of Maldivian companies have expressed interest in taking part in the forum and the next step is the registration process.
There are three categories to sponsor the forum. The first category is platinum category which is worth 35000 dollars. The second one is gold category which is worth 25000 dollars. And the silver category is worth 15000 dollars.
Those companies which sponsor platinum and gold packages will get free stalls. Others also have the option to pay and use stalls.
