Saudi Arabian national day celebrated in the Maldives
The 86th national day of Saudi Arabia has been celebrated in the Maldives. The function to mark the Saudi Arabian national day was held at Kurumbaa Maldives tonight.

The guest of honor at the ceremony was the Speaker of the Parliament Abdulla Maseeh. The ceremony was attended by ministers, state dignitaries, senior government officials, businessmen and foreign diplomats. Senior figures at the ceremony include Gender Minister Zeneesha Shaheed Zakee, Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar, Islamic Minister Dr.Ahmed Ziyad Baaqir and the Chancellor of Islamic University Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed.

A video presentation which shows the achievements of Saudi Arabia and the prosperity of Saudi people was shown at the ceremony.

Since, September 1932, the country has been celebrating 23rd September as it’s national day. That is the day when King Abdul Azeez launched reform processes in the country and also the day when they changed the name of thecountry to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
