President Obama has vetoed the bill passed by the congress which will allow victims of the family to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for any role (if any) in the 9/11 attacks.
Obama said that if such a legislation was passed it would create complicated diplomatic problems with US allies and also that the legislation undermines core US interests. This is the first ever bill vetoed by Obama during his administration.
Even the European Union openly criticized the bill. EU said that the bill was passed against international norms and if they act upon it US will be at odds with various countries.
Since US always has sinister plans to attack and invade Muslim nations and seize their wealth, it is hard to believe that this is the end of the case. If Saudi Arabia refuses anything the US asks for it is likely that they will pass this legislation again.
