The Halaal certificate issued by Islamic Ministry of Maldives is to be recognized internationally.
According to Islamic Ministry, officials from JAKIM Malaysia visited Maldives on 19th September to audit the Halaaal certificate issuing process of Islamic Ministry.
JAKIM is an institution managed by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia. Halaal certificates in Malaysia are issued by this department. The certificate of JAKIM are accepted by most of the Islamic countries.
Officials from JAKIM also visited two Maldivian companies which Islamic Ministry has issued Halaal certificates. They visited Horizon Fisheries Private Limited and Ensis Fisheries Private limited.
