Maldives Government has requested Adhalath Party and MDP to send names of officials who will participate in the dialogue with the government.
The spokesperson of the President’s Office, Mr. Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that they requested those two parties to send names because so far the government has not received any names from those two parties only.
The dialogues have not yet started because MDP and Adhalath Party are demanding to free the leaders of their parties who are both serving jail time for committing crimes.
Both Adhalath Party and MDP have said that government is not sincere in holding the dialogues. However, President Yameen said that, they will know how sincere the government is when they take part in the dialogues.
Since CMAG has urged the opposition to take part in the dialogues without any demands, it is likely that they will participate in the dialogues this time.
