To mark the World Tourism Day, a lot of activities are being conducted to welcome the tourists who visit Maldives today.
Various activities were conducted at the airport this morning, to welcome the first flight that arrived today. The tourists who came on the Korean Air flight were entertained with cultural performances.
The activities which are being conducted by MACL and Tourism Ministry are to be carried out this afternoon and even tonight.
MACL said that they will put on the performances during peak hours when more flights arrive.
While there are several other programs planned to celebrate World Tourism Day, the International World Travel Award Grand Finale is also scheduled to be held in the Maldives later this year.
