Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer have said that a seminar will be held tomorrow to discuss about a new tourism master plan for Maldives.
Zameer said that since the development of the new terminal at INIA which could accommodate more than 7 million passengers a year will be completed by 2018, it is important to find new ways to bring in more tourists to Maldives.
“That’s why we need to find new ways to market Maldivian tourism. We should target for new markets. That is why a new master plan is of great importance” said Zameer.
He further said that the new master plan will be formulated with consultancy from international experts. He also said that they will involve all stake holders in the tourism industry when formulating the plan.
