Activities held at Sun Island Resort to mark World Tourism Day
Various activities have been conducted at Sun Island Toursit Resort today, to mark the World Tourism Day. Sun Island is the greenest resort in the Maldives.

As part of today’s actives, there was a coconut palm planting program held at the resort this morning. A lot of staffs and tourists at the resort took part in the event. Many tourists like to plant trees and place their name near the tree.

In the afternoon around 400 staffs of the resort cleaned the island as a social responsibility.

Sun Island resort has won various international awards in the past years. The staffs of the resort are exemplary in doing social services as well.

Sun Island Resort is the greenest resort in Maldives at present and the staffs and the management of the resort work hard to retain the greenness. Sun Island is owned by Villa Group, one of the largest companies in the Maldives which is owned by philanthropist Qasim Ibrahim.
