Discussions have been held to strengthen relations with Islamic University of Maldives and Saudi Arabia in the field of education. The discussion were held between President Yameen and Saudi Education Minister during the visit of Saudi Education Minister Dr.Ahmed Al Issa to President Yameen.
In addition, during the meeting the Minister and President discussed to increase the number of seats given to Maldivian students in Saudi universities. The meeting was held in King Saud Guest Palace this morning.
The minister of Education of Saudi Arabia said that they will provide Maldivian students the opportunity to study in technical fields and also give 300 scholarships to Maldives. He said that these things will be arranged in a near future.
Today’s meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr.Mohammed Asim, Minister of Economic Development Mohammed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Doctor Mohammed Shainee,
The state minister at the President’s Office Mohammed Naseer, Maldivian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdullah Hameed and the International Spokesperson at the President’s Office Ibrahim Hussain Shihaab.
