Nestle Milo Colour Award ceremony held tonight !

Nestle Milo Colour Award ceremony has been held tonight. Nestle Milo Colors award is an award given to top sports achievers in Maldivian schools. In tonight’s ceremony, awards were given to notable achievers of 2015.

Yop award for Nestle Milo Colour Award was awarded to Nishwan Ibrahim. The award was given by Mestle Colombo MD miss Shivani Hedge, education Minister and Youth Minister.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shihaam said that because of this award sponsored by Milo, students are encouraged to go further and achieve more in sports. She said that since they have started giving the award, number of students who take part in sports has increased by forty percent.

The minister also noted the importance given by President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom to develop sports in Maldives.

“President is giving sports scholarships to high achievers. Even now 12 students have been awarded with sports scholarships and 4 of them are undergoing their training. The government will cover all the study related costs for the recipients of these scholarships” said Dr.Shihaam

The ceremony was attended by the MD of Nestle Lanka Shivaanee Hedeg and other senior figures of the company. The chief guest of the ceremony was Youth Minister Irthishaam Adam. High achievers in sports were given awards at the ceremony.

It was noted that they played English songs during the ceremony because the organizers couldn’t get Dhivehi songs.
