The managing director of Nestle’ Lanka PLC Miss Shivani Hedge have said that products of Nestle’ are healthy, contains nutritive elements and are good for the human body.
Shivani said this while, talking at the Milo Colors Award ceremony held last night at dharubaaruge, Male’.. The Colors Award is an award sponsored by Nestle’.
Shivani said that they have been producing and selling food products for 150 years now and their products have been available in the Maldives for more than 40 years now.
Shivani said that their products such as Nestle Milo will be beneficial for athletes as it gives them energy. She further said that, Nestle’ supports athletes and supports, sports in general.
Shivani said that Nestle’ sponsored the Colors Award till 2018 because, they believe that students will benefit from it. She said that sports encourage teamwork and strengthens friendship. She also said this will enable to create students who will proudly serve their country in future.
In addition, Shivani said that, sports allow students to learn how to exercise, be proactive and also teaches them discipline. Shivani urged the students to use the skills they acquire through sports, in other areas of life as well.
Speaking at the ceremony the Education Minister said that Colors Award ceremony is an example of the generosity of Nestle Lanka. The minister thanked the company for sponsoring the Colors Awards.
