MDP has expressed concern on the decision made by Elections Commissions, not to place ballot boxes abroad in the upcoming council elections.
Speaking at a news conference held at MDP office, the SG of MDP Anas Abduh Sattar said that a lot of people will travel abroad in January 2017, which is the proposed date of the elections. He said that they are really concerned and worried with this decision of EC.
Anas said that EC made this decision without talking with any political parties. He further said that even in the 2014 council elections, ballot boxes were placed abroad as well and that he requests the EC to think about this decision again.
Meanwhile, MDP has decided to contest for 511 seats in the elections.
