The President of PPM, Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom have said that a PPM council meeting can only be held when those members who filed lawsuit against him apologizes to him.
In a message sent to the Viber group of PPM Council, Maumoon said that those members who defied him in the 19th council meeting and left the council meeting should apologize to him. He also said that, those members who filed lawsuit against him should also apologize to him.
In addition, he said that, they need to vow that they will never go against the party by laws and respect the party rules and regulations if they want to hold a council meeting of the party.
Meanwhile the President’s Office has asked PPM and other parties as well that they can nominate representatives to all-party talks via the party council only.
The three members who filed lawsuit against Maumoon are MP for Hulhudhoo Constituency Mohammed Shahid, MP for Naifaru Constituency Ahmed Shiyam, and MP for Dhaandhoo Constituency Ahmed Assad. The court issued an order on Maumoon to hold party council meetings, as requested by them.
