Tourism Ministry has conducted a cleaning program in Hulhumale’ and planted trees in Hulhumale’ as part of their program to celebrate World Tourism Day.
The program was carried out yesterday afternoon.
Speaking to the media the Deputy Tourism Minister Shazail Shiyam said that, they decided to conduct this program because greenness and cleanliness is very much related to tourism.
The activity was carried out by staffs of the ministry. A large area of Hulhumale’ was cleaned and more than 200 trees were planted. The trees were donated by tourist resorts.
Hulhumale’ is very often visited by a lot of tourists and hence it is important to keep Hulhumale’ green and clean.
