What did MDP do for Fuvahmulah ?
The citizens of Fuvahmulah are questioning, what MDP has done for them during the 3-year administration of MDP.
Such questions are being asked because, some MDP members are trying to hold anti-governmental activities during the visit of President Yameen to the island.
Citizens should let the head of the state know their difficulties and needs. But that should be done within the boundaries of conduct. The President is going to meet the people, and listen to them. To ask about their difficulties. To do what the government can about the problems faced by the people.
Water and sewage systems are among essential services needed by the people of Fuvahmulah. President Yameen will officially inaugurate the project to develop these systems.
MDP or the opposition people can convince some of the islanders to behave in an unruly manner. But they cannot show anything done by MDP to Fuvahmulah during their administration. That is because they never did anything for Fuvahmulah.
The people of Fuvahmulah are in need of many services. They want better medical facilities and better equipped schools. In addition, they want more means to earn income.
Even though Fuvahmulah has a huge population and a huge landmass compared to other islands of Maldives, ways of making money are limited. They do have fertile land. They islanders need more means to increase their earnings.
Even though Fuvahmulah is considered as a developed island, we will only know the real state of the island through a proper research only. The islanders are hardworking. Hence, if there is a way to earn a decent living, they will not hesitate to work hard.
