Sadhagaath Foundation has invited interested individuals to sign up for the “Khithaan (circumcision)
Camp” to be held in Hulhumale’.
Circumcission is a must for all muslim boys. In Maldives they do it mostly between the age of 5 yo 7 years.
Speaking to the press on behalf of the foundation, Miss Zeenash said that the activity will be carried out in Rehendhi School during annual school holidays on 19th of November. She said that this camp will be carried out in accordance with Maldivian culture, keeping in mind to promote family values and happiness throughout the camp.
Mr. Haneef, an official of the foundation said that the camp is open for everyone to take part and all those who want to do it can participate in the camp. He also said that, they will not charge any fees for the camp and that all services will be provided for free.
Haneef said that they organize such events to strengthen relations in the community and to promote harmony. He invited everyone to take part in the event.
Interested parents can get forms to sign up for the event from special desks near Hulhumale’ and Male’ ferry terminal. Forms will also be accepted from these desks.
Forms will be accepted till 22nd October between 1400 hours and 1800 hours during the day and from 2000 hours to 2200 hours in the evening. Those who want further information regarding this event can contact the foundation at 9929233.
