STO has signed an agreement with Hemas Holdings of Lanka, to procure medicine at the cheapest possible rates.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at STO this morning. Speaking at the ceremony the CFO of STO Mohammed Nihad said that they have some difficulties is dealing directly with some of the huge companies which produce medicine in very large Quantities.

Nihad said that some companies only accept orders in large quantities which is not needed in Maldives. He said that because of that, they have to purchase through third parties and they have to pay a lot to do that.
