Maldives Inland Revenue Authority’s monthly statistics have shown that the state has received 11.49 billion Rufiyaa as revenue till September.
According to the figures publicized by MIRA, the state received 10.53 billion Rufiyaa in the same period last year. Hence, this year, an increment of 856 million Rufiyaa can be seen.
Introduction of green tax to guest houses, and remittance tax will further increase the revenue this year.
The reports by MIRA shows that, the state received 1.11 billion Rufiyaa in September. This is an increment of 24.5 percent compared to September 2015.
