The secretary general of JP has said that there will be no reason or excuse to withhold the money that the government should give to JP.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Sameer said that the party was audited by an international audit firm and that they submitted the audit reports to the Elections Commission on the required date.
“JP submitted all the necessary reports by the due dates mentioned in the regulations. We were never informed that they had any problems with our reports. So we believe that everything is in order” said Sameer.
Sameer said that, JP has a elected leader even if the EC has said that some parties do not have elected presidents. He said that JP is operated in accordance with all the regulations.
He said that even though EC sent a letter to JP highlighting some problems in some parties, they do not have any of these problems highlighted by the EC. He said that hence he does not believe that EC has a right to withhold the money that should be given to JP.
Elections Cmission brought up the issue of finger prints also as a mean to deal with all the parties equally. However, if they deal with the parties that abide by the rules and that disobey the rules, that is indeed a terrible problem. Its like criminal Court if starts jailing all the people to make very one equal.
