Leader of the PPM parliamentary group, Ahmed Nihaan Hassan Manik have said that the PG group will meet President Yameen tomorrow morning, as part of their ongoing efforts to solve the internal problems in PPM.
Speaking to Miadhu News, Nihaan said that parliament groups in other countries also the play an important role in solving internal problems of the parties. He said that PG groups work in this way because, it is the PG groups which works to pass the policies of the government within the parliament.
Nihaan said that President Yameen gave a reply, within 30 minutes after he received the letter from the PG group. He said that this shows the eagerness of the President to promote PPM as a party. He further said that, it shows the President’s willingness to implement the policies of the government and serve the people.
In addition, Nihaan said that PPM does not belong to any one individual and that it represents several thousand members. He also said that since, PPM is a legal entity, PPM should be operated within the rules and regulations of the party. He also said that the decisions of the party cannot be made by one individual and that it should be made through the party council.
Nihan said that so far Party’s President, Maumoon has not answered the letter sent to him by the PG group and that he hopes Maumoon will give a reply and hold talks with the PG group.
PPM PG will meet President Yameen tomorrow at 11:00 in the morning.
