PPM’s Vice President Abdul Raheem have asked those who do not want to back President Yameen, to stay at home.
Speaking at a news conference held by PPM PG and PPM council Members, Abdul Raheem asked those who do not want to back President Yameen to stay at home and he said that they are ready to work and win the elections with President Yameen.
Abdul Raheem also said that there should not be a primary to choose the presidential candidate of PPM. He said that the party regulations clearly state that an incumbent president from the party can get the ticket without a primary.
PPM council member Mohamed Hussain Shareef said that a primary should only be held if the president cannot perform well and that also should be decided by the party council and party congress.
Abdul Raheem also assured that they are capable to solve the rifts within the party. “There are people who are capable to resolve these problems” said Abdul Raheem.
