Attorney General Muhammad Anil have said that, even if the government is instructed or not by pthers, the government is taking steps to reform in areas where it is needed.
Speaking to the press at the President’s Office he said that friendly nations are assisting to reform areas where reform is needed and Maldives is gladly accepting the assistance.
He said that, if Maldives is compared with the member nations of CMAG, Maldives is still far better than most of these countries. “Hence, they are treating Maldives unfairly and outside the normal procedures. Also we believe that Maldives is being discriminated. That is why we decided to leave Commonwealth. We have also informed Commonwealth that we have started the exit procedures” said Anil
