MPL CEO given an A+ report by staffs of MPL Kulhudhuhfushi
MPL CEO has been given an A+ report by the Kulhudhuhfushi staffs of MPL. The staffs revealed this during a meeting held with MPL and MPL Kulhudhuhfushi senior management last night.
The staffs said that they are extremely pleased with how CEO of MPL Junaid acted when the staffs of MPL started a strike after petitioning for an increase in their salaries. The staffs noted that the way Junaid acted was very different compared to how heads of companies take action in Maldives usually in cases like this.
The staffs noted that no one was fired or even given disciplinary notice because of this. When the staffs stopped working on Thursday, CEO Junaid went to Kulhudhuhfushi with 40 staffs from Male to resume the operations in Kulhudhuhfushi.
After going to Kulhudhuhfushi, Junaid met with the staffs and asked everyone to resume working. And he asked those who do not want to work to leave the meeting immediately. He also said that he does not want to investigate or look into the actions taken by the staffs on Thursday and that he wants to resume operating the port.
He asked those who want to leave their jobs to raise their hands and no one raised their hands. He then asked those who want to remain in their jobs to raise their hands, and everyone did so. Junaid then listened to the concerns of the staffs and promised to find some solutions.
