Preventing attacks on soft targets” training program concludes
Training program on preventing terrorist attacks on soft targets, has concluded and the participants has been awarded with certificates.

In a ceremony held in Iskandar Building today, the participants were given certificates by Deputy Tourism Minister Hussain Liraar who was the chief guest of the ceremony.

This course is part of a series of Anti-Terrorism Assistance programs conducted for Police officers at Institute for Security and Law Enforcement Studies by US State Department.


Twenty-two police officers took part in this course which was conducted from 10th to 18th October. They were taught how to identify soft targets, how to analyze them, how to formulate reports about them and how to utilize human resources to prevent attacks. The course was facilitated by experienced lecturers of Anti-Terrorism Assistance program.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, the facilitators of the course were also given certificates of recognition. The certificates were given by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Saudy.

The ceremony was attended by senior figures of Institute for Security and Law Enforcement Studies and senior officers of Maldives Police service.
