Foreign Minister Dr.Mohammed Asim have said that extremism is out of hand and now extremists attack who ever and whatever they dislike.
He said this while giving a statement at the 43rd OIC summit of Foreign Ministers, held at Uzbekistan. Dr.Asim said that extremism has divided up the Islamic world and that this is not how Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) has instructed us to lead our lives.
Dr.Asim said that the best solution for these problems is raising awareness and that can be done through education. He said that until very recently, Islamic world was developing at a fast pace and that the reason for that is because Muslims work persistently and were peace loving.
Dr.Asim also noted the importance of spreading awareness and knowledge in the society and said that the religion emphasizes on spreading correct knowledge of Islam.
In addition, Dr.Asim assured that Maldives will always be with Palestine and will support the people of Palestine.
