President sends condolence message to the Emir of Qatar

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a condolence message to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, following the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The President’s message reads as follows:

“It was with deep sorrow that I learnt of the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Former Emir of the State of Qatar. He was a visionary leader who made extensive and varied contributions to the progress and prosperity of the State of Qatar.”

“At this time of national grief, I extend heartfelt condolences from the Government and the people of Maldives to the Government and the people of Qatar, especially to Your Highness’s family members.”
“May Allah bless his soul and grant him eternal paradise.”
