Maldives calls to work against terrorism and extremism after setting some regulations
Maldives has called all the countries to work against terrorism and extremism after setting some standards and good frame work.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the International Conference on Counter Terrorism and Extremism, the Defence Minister of Maldives Adam Shareef Umar urged everyone to work together against terrorism. He said that, if a counter terrorism framework that is accepted by all the countries can be established, the work against terrorism can be successful. He said that the Maldives believes that if worked this way, it will be possible to get better results.

Adam Shareef said that this conference will benefit Maldives in several ways. He said that one of the biggest achievement is that the global players in counter terror activities knowing the work Maldives is doing to counter, terrorist activities.

He said that this government is doing several works to raise awareness on terror related issues and to distant people away from terrorist activities. He said that such programs will be increased in the future.

Adam Shareef noted that the Maldives has passed a counter terrorism legislation and also established a counter terrorism center this year. He said that being able to host an international counter terrorism conference within a short period of time is a huge achievement.

He further said that the government will not give any chance to anyone to divide the country and to create religious divisions within the country. He said that the government will take various preventive measures to ensure that it does not happen.
