Three parliament members have been removed from their respective parties for not providing finger prints to Elections Commission.
The three members are, Faisal Naseem of JP, Eva Abdullah of MDP and Ibrahim Mohammed Solih of MDP.
Elections Commission informed the parliament secretariat about the removal of these three members. Hence, the parliament will recognize these three members as independent members now.
The case filed to High Court regarding the finger prints issue by JP has still not been accepted by the Supreme Court.
EC said that they will not remove any member from party, but are removing the names of members with incomplete information from party membership lists.
