Fisheries Minister Dr.Shainee have said that Maldives has the best environment and facilities to conduct marine research and that the government welcomes everyone who wants to conduct marine research in Maldives.
Speaking at the Marine Science Symposium held today, Dr.Shainee said that there are various research opportunities in Maldives in areas like reef, deep sea and the formation of Maldives.
Dr.Shainee said that there are many other such things researchers can work on such as changes to the environment due to climate change and also in the field of marine culture.
Dr.Shainee said that Maldives will welcome all those who want to conduct marine researches in Maldives and also will provide opportunities.
“marine research is an area that needs to be developed. We can only talk about things that the people and the whole world in general believes, with scientific proof. That’s why we need to do researches in all fields” said Dr.Shainee.
