2.2 Kilograms of drugs confiscated from a ship bound to Addu
In an operation conducted by Maldives Police Service and Customs, 2.2 Kilograms of drugs have been confiscated from a boat that was bound to Addu.

According to police, they boarded the boat on 15th October while it was on its way to Addu after receiving intelligence about possible drug smuggling. The boat was travelling to Addu from Tuticorin harbor of India.

Police raided the boat with anti-drug dog squads and found 2.2 kilograms of drugs from a room in the boat. However no one has been arrested regarding this case.
The case is being investigated by Drug Enforcement Department of Maldives Police Service.
