COP 22 summit is to be held in Morocco this month.
Speaking at a press conference Environment Minister, Thoriq said that summit will be held in Morocco from 7th to 18th of this month.
Minister said that in the summit he will talk with large countries about the importance of funding small countries in Maldives to recover from the effects of climate change. “We will advocate to get financial aid to small countries like Maldives” said the Minister.
He also said that they will also talk about the 11 countries that still has not ratified the Paris agreement.
The Paris agreement obliges all the countries to maintain the temperate of the globe at a certain level. So far 33 countries have signed the agreement.
