PPM’s Vice President and MP for Fonadhoo constituency Abdullah Abduh Raheem have said that President Yameen is the Messi of Maldives and he will play as an attacking forward.
Speaking at the rally held by PPM last night to mark the 5th anniversary of PPM, Abdul Raheem said the opposition says that President Yameen will always have to play for defence, but he said that it is not true. Abdul Raheem said that they will always for attack and will win the 2017, 2018 and 2019 elections.
Abdul Raheem said that it was President Yameen who suggested Maumoon to make a new party. Abdul Raheem said that during the break up of DRP, it was President Yameen who gave the idea to make a new party and worked the hardest to make a new party. Abdul Raheem said that hence, President Yameen is the master mind behind the formation of PPM.
He further said that, President Yameen visited all islands of Maldives to get members of PPM and visited all the islands where bi elections were held. Abdul Raheem said that those who are with Maumoon now will never wish well for him and it is the former members of PA who will always wish well for Maumoon.
Abdul Raheem further said that when the current constitution was formed, PA members worked with DRP within the special Majlis and it was with the vote of PA members only Maumoon could contest in 2008 Presidential elections.
