Maldives Police Service has confiscated a mobile phone belonging to a man from Vilifushi Island for editing pictures of MP Riyaz Rasheed. Allegedly the man used Riyaz’s face on nude pictures in an attempt to humiliate Riyaz.
Police confiscated the phone of Abidh Mohamed ,34. In addition, memory cards and some other materials were also confiscated. Court has given police the permission to keep the phone in police custody for a month to investigate the case.
According to the court warrant, the man used Riyaz’s picture to make vulgar images and shared the images on social media. Hence, court ordered to seize Aabid’s phone to investigate the case.
