Costa Cruises to start cruises between Mumbai to Maldives in December

Costa Cruises a European cruising company will launch a cruise which will be home porting in Mumbai from December 2016.

In this cruise, there will be weekly sailings from December 16 2016 to March 18 2017.

On this cruise, travelers can cruise from Mumbai to Maldives over seven nights or begin the cruise in Male and cruise from Male to Mumbai.
The ship will sail along South Western coast of India and will make stops at Cochin and Mangalore on the way to Maldives and will sail via Colombo and Goa on the way to Mumbai.

Many people have booked cruises so far especially for Christmas and New Years eve. Cruise liners visit Maldives from time to time. However, it is not a popular way for tourists to visit Maldives mainly due to lack of facilities that can serve cruise liners.
It is expected that a huge terminal for cruise liners and yachts will be developed in the 2nd phase of Hulhumale' development.
