MP for Eydhafushi constituency Ahmed Saleem (Red wave) and MP for Baarashu constituency Ibrahim Sujaau have decided to support president Yameen.
Speaking to the press in front of Finance Ministry, Saleem said that he is with President Yameen and previously he had some grievances but he believes that these things can be solved by proper dialogue. He further said that most people of his constituency wants him to support President Yameen and he changed his decision to withdraw his support to the current government came as a result of pressure from the people. He said that he had no political pressure to take this decision.
“The people of Eydhafushi did not accept my decision to support President Maumoon. 90 percent of them wants me to work with President Yameen” said Saleem.
MP Sujaau said that he has resigned from the position of Maumoon faction’s spokesperson and he worked with Maumoon because he had some concerns. He said that he changed his decision because he got the assurance that working with President Yameen will solve these problems.
After Saleem and Sujaau changed sides, at the moment there are only five parliament members with Maumoon now.
