Trying to disrupt PPM’s majority in the parliament is an act of treason : President Yameen

President Yameen have said that working to disrupt the party’s majority within the parliament is an act of treason.

Speaking to the press this afternoon President said that instead of trying to solve the internal problems of the party, trying to disrupt the party’s majority in the parliament is a treacherous act.

President said that the government needs parliament’s support in the government’s effort to bring development to all the citizens. President said that PPM has support of the people and PPM’s PG group and the party council is also with him.

“The truth is that, even if some people announce that I do not have what it takes to run in party primaries in fear of losing, I am still the President of this country who got elected with this party’s ticket” said President Yameen.

President also announced that he has started a membership drive with PPM parliament members. President said that PPM should hold parliament majority to do right by the people. He also said that he will always work to make sure that PPM is active. He further said that, his target is to get 100,000 members in PPM.
