Dhiraagu and Ooredoo affected by DDOS attacks

Both Dhiraagu and Ooredoo have revealed that both the companies have been affected by DDOS (distributed denial of service) attacks.

A statement by the companies says that they have taken necessary steps against these attacks but there will be some disruptions in internet based services.

The statement further said that they are taking more measures to prevent such attacks in future.

DDOS attacks basically uses a mechanism to over load data traffic making the services slow. Various communication service providers around the world find it challenging to defend themselves from DDOS attacks.

Both Dhiraagu and Ooredoo thanked their customers for their patience.
