Government has decided to conduct special activities starting tomorrow, till the 30th of this month to celebrate the achievements of President Yameen’s government.
Speaking at a press conference held at the President’s Office this afternoon Defence Minister Adam Shareef said that since these achievements are national achievements, these celebrations will be national celebrations. He said that these activities will be conducted like a sports festival.
He said that the activities will be kick started by a rally of the youth tomorrow night. He said that the most important event of this festivities will be a rally held on 28thNovember in which the President will take part as well.
Speaking at the press conference, Attorney General Muhammad Anil said that the purpose of these activities is to publicize the achievements this government has brought to the islands of Maldives because many people are still not aware of it.
Anil said that the government was able to achieve a lot because of the hard work of civil servants and staffs of government owned companies. Anil said that hence the work done by all these people will be celebrated during these festivities.
