MPL’s CEO Muhammad Junaid have said that he is proud to play a role in President Yameen’s team even if it is a minor role.
Speaking at a demonstration held at Meedhoo Sunset Restaurant, against MP Rozaina for standing in the way of Meedhoo development, Junaid said that the president is developing the country even though the government is facing a lot of pressure.
“I am proud as a citizen of Maldives, to play a role in President Yameen’s team” said Junaid.
Junaid said that he is proud of President Yameen because, the President refuses to abandon the country and leave even though the president is facing pressure from his country, abroad and family.
“Sit down and think how much pressure the president will be in. From his family, and others in the country are exerting so much pressure on the president. In addition, some Maldivians abroad joined hands with foreigners to put pressure on the president. President will be under mental stress. But he doesn’t abandon us and leave. Definitely he will not leave” said Junaid.
Junaid said that once a channel is made in Meedhoo the boats docking at Meedhoo harbor will increase. He said that now ships do not dock at that harbor because it is very difficult to leave and enter.
He further said that once the fish cannery and ice plant in the island are completed boats from all over the region will fill the harbor. Junaid said that hence it is important to show that the people are behind President Yameen and should disregard the things said by the opposition.
