Vice President Abdullah Jihaad have said that, stability can be attained in the society by upholding equality among people and by improving the relations between Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
He made this statement while speaking as the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of religious scholar’s conference organized by Islamic University of Maldives earlier today.
Jihaad said that acts of terror should not be committed but organizations like ISIS are doing it. He said that terrorism can be stopped when such organizations stop acts of terror.
He further said that, Muslims should fight to defend themselves but they should not commit crimes. He said that Islam does not permit to create chaos and division among Muslims. He further said that Islam encourages people to engage in dialogue to solve problems.
He said that the most important matter at hand is solving the problems among Muslims and improving relations between Muslims. He said that without doing these things it will be impossible to solve the problems Muslims face today.
