Elections Commission has extended the re-registration period for voting indefinitely due to the court order.
Re-registration period ended today as per the previous deadline. Elections Commission said that they extended the deadline due to an order from the Civil Court. They said that with the order they have extended the deadline to re-register and a deadline has not yet been set.
Meanwhile President Yameen faction of PPM has filed a case to the Civil Court requesting to delay the local council elections. They requested to delay the elections for two months.
