Vice President Abdullah Jihaad have said that investors in Maldives will receive legal protection and that it is something of high priority to the government.
Vice President made this statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of the Maldives Investment Forum held in New Delhi on 22ndNovember.
He said that even now the government is working to improve the legal protection offered to the investors in Maldives. He said that the economy of Maldives is growing year by year and Maldives is one of the best countries to invest. He said that the current investors in Maldives are sure of this.
He said that in addition to the areas of investments announced by the government, investors can come up with their own proposals and the government will accept it. He said that hence, Maldives is open for investments in all areas.
“If investors are interested in a certain area, they should submit proposals. Government will facilitate it. Those who want to invest in Maldives will have the opportunity to meet with President Yameen as well. Even he will give ideas to interested investors” said Jihaad.
In addition, Jihaad said that it is very easy to register foreign investments in Maldives. “Once the required documents are submitted, the investments will be registered within 48 hours. This shows our capacity and ease of investing in Maldives” said Jihaad.
Vice President Jihaad assured that the government will facilitate investors to get things done easily in Maldives.
