MPL has opened a café with 100 percent Maldivian staffs. In a ceremony held at Meeru Bahuru harbor, to celebrate 3-year anniversary of President Yameen’s government, the café’ was opened by Economic Minister Muhammad Saeed who over sees the operation of MPL.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the CEO of MPL, Muhammad Junaid said that starting from the manager to the waiter, all staffs of the café will be Maldivians. He said that there will not be a single foreigner.
He said that the MPL Corporative society will earn 8 to 9 million Rufiyaa from this caféand this is a huge progress to the staffs of MPL. In addition, he said that even now the corporative society runs a shop and in future there will be more initiatives like this.
Junaid said that this government’s anniversary should be celebrated because the government facilitates such endeavors.
In the ceremony held tonight to celebrate the government’s anniversary a special cake was cut. Also several entertainment activities were carried out. Staffs of MPL, ministers and parliament members took part in this ceremony.
