There are many talented players at the 43rd national badminton championship and the 9th atoll league badminton championship. The atoll league which started on 22nd of November has more than 115 participants and there are 115 participants in the national championship as well.
Badminton is the most developing sport in Maldives and Maldives has won a lot of medals from Badminton at an international level. If everything goes on schedule the final matches of these competitions will be on 1st December 2016.
